About the Job
The primary responsibility of the Payroll Coordinator to lead all aspects of payroll administration and maintain the operational effectiveness of the team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the payroll team complies with the wage & hour laws, federal and state regulations and the company’s policies and procedures. The Payroll Coordinator will provide strategic direction and expertise in the payroll function along with creating short and long-term strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* All positions are required to know, understand and follow all corporate guidelines as outlined in the company handbook.
* All positions are required to follow federal, state, local and company safety guidelines and procedures always while working on company premises or doing company business.
* Review audit reports for accuracy and ensure compliance with wage & hour laws, federal and state regulations and company’s policies and procedures.
* All positions will at time be required to perform company related duties beyond the scope of the job title and description.
* Develop and oversee payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting, legal requirements, and internal financial requirements.
* Manages leadership of payroll team, driving accountability and development through coaching to drive results and team success.
* Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner, and completion of benefit reports bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
* Responsible for running overtime reports and other requests from corporate executive team.
* Enter new employees into database and create their new employee file.
* Help gather information for telephone audits, EEOC/Affirmative Action filings, and any other requests that come in from outside government agencies.
* Provide feedback and ideas on how to improve the human resource/payroll functions on a continual basis.
* Help process, send out and file year end W-2’s and 1099’s.
* Multitude of other duties as directed by the leadership
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field OR Associates degree in one of the related fields with two years of experience, OR 4 years of work experience in a related field on a year for year basis.

* Written communication: Strong writing skills using good spelling, punctuation, grammar; detail-oriented in editing written documents; ability to present numerical and statistical data effectively; and ability to accurately interpret and communicate written information.
* Planning and organizing: Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to ensure the timely completion of projects and development of realistic action plans.
* Quality: Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality.
* Adaptability: Able to quickly adapt and respond to a rapidly changing work environment and manage competing demands in a productive manner.
* Dependability: Demonstrated ability to consistently be at work and on time as scheduled, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
* Experience with Social Media (Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, etc) very helpful.
