About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our dedicated team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our nursing home group, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance with labor laws, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processes for all employees within the nursing home group, including processing payroll, calculating wages, and ensuring timely disbursement of salaries.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and labor laws. Stay updated on changes in legislation that may affect payroll processing.
Timekeeping Management: Oversee and verify timekeeping records, including attendance, overtime, and leave balances. Address and resolve any discrepancies.
Reporting: Generate and review payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax reports, and employee earning statements. Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data.
Employee Inquiries: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions and issues. Resolve discrepancies and provide support for payroll concerns.
Tax and Deductions: Manage payroll tax calculations, withholdings, and deductions. Ensure accurate submission of payroll taxes and compliance with tax regulations.
System Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll systems and software. Implement system changes and upgrades as needed to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records. Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, with experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting highly desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in using payroll software, strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws, and exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling payroll data and processing.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
