Overview:
The Payroll Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization. This position is essential in maintaining employee satisfaction through on-time and accurate compensation, as well as compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll for employees
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and other deductions
Address payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain employee records and ensure payroll accuracy
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Assist in payroll audits as needed
Contribute to the implementation and improvement of payroll processes
Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role
Proficiency in payroll software, such as ADP
Strong understanding of payroll principles, laws, and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with benefits and compensation policies
Understanding of tax regulations related to payroll
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
