Payroll Coordinator - ( STA015120 ) Organization: H0067 Chemical EngineeringDescriptionThe Payroll coordinator role ensures the accurate and timely processing of employees' payroll data, time recording and absence reporting for the University of Houston System. This includes but is not limited to analyzing the daily change files, TRAM reviews, provides communication of payroll discrepancies, troubleshoots issues with client groups and the component campus. 1. Reviews reports and processes retroactive personnel actions for off-cycle payrolls; enters retroactive data corrections onto pay lines upon approval. EEO/AA QualificationsBachelors and 6 months experience Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of six (6) months of directly job-related experience. - Department is willing to accept experience in lieu of education.
