Payroll / HR Analyst Job Summary: The Payroll and Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing payroll processes, maintaining payroll records, and providing support for the Workday system. Additionally, this role will manage the pre-employment and onboarding process, ensure accurate employee records, and handle various HR functions such as background checks, new employee orientation, and the off-boarding process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Payroll/HR Analyst Responsibilities:
*MUST Have experience working with Work Day*
Payroll:
- Review and reconcile information in the payroll register, ensuring deductions, hires, terminations, and 401(k) contributions are accurate and ready for approval.
- Assist in maintaining payroll records and provide backup support as needed. Responsible for maintaining the Payroll folder.
- Provide expert-level support for employees using Workday.
- Run or prepare weekly and monthly reports for accounting and management, including custom reports and Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) reports.
- Review and reconcile all payroll taxes for accuracy and open new state accounts as necessary.
- Assist in processing bi-weekly payrolls accurately and on time according to company guidelines and standards.
Human Resources:
- Manage the pre-employment and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Ensure the Workday hiring process is up to date with required approvals.
- Manage Sterling Solutions for background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records (MVRs).
- Conduct new employee orientation sessions.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in the HRIS system.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain and update job descriptions for all positions.
- Conduct exit surveys and report weekly analytics for the headcount report.
- Post internal and external communications.
- Assist the HR team with various projects as needed.
Payroll/HR Analyst Qualifications:
- Proficient in Workday and HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
