What is this role?
The Payroll Manager is a critical member of our Total Rewards team, responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our diverse workforce of over 1,000 employees. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while managing the UKG payroll system for both hourly and salaried employees.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results: Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, contributing to employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
- Taking Ownership: Complete and oversee the entire payroll process, including data management, reconciliations, reporting and year-end payroll preparations.
- Making Decisions: Implement payroll policies and practices that promote compliance and efficiency, addressing issues as they arise.
- Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to address payroll-related inquiries and support organizational needs.
- Instilling Trust: Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
- Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional service to employees, ensuring their payroll questions and concerns are resolved promptly.
What background should you have?
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a mid to large-sized organization.
- Proficiency in UKG payroll system is required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience processing full-cycle multi-state payroll
- Excellent proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
