Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
As the Payroll Manager, you will:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating, and inputting payroll data for all employees.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll as the Payroll Manager.
- Administered and maintained payroll systems, ensured data integrity, and implemented system upgrades and enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
- Generate payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits deductions, and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support as the Payroll Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations, Indian tax laws, and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the payroll department as the Payroll Manager.
Qualifications of the Payroll Manager:
General: To perform this job successfully, the Payroll Manager must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Education and Experience: This position typically requires demonstrable previous experience as a Payroll Manager. A Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, plus 5+ years managing a payroll department, is preferred. Advanced PC skills are required, including proficiency in various software such as Excel and SAP. The candidate must be able to understand and communicate effectively with managers and fellow employees. The candidate must also understand and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands: The Payroll Manager must be able to stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. The role occasionally requires stooping, bending, walking, crouching, and climbing, with the ability to lift at least 25 pounds frequently and carry up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment: Work is performed predominantly indoors.
