We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client.s team to cover a medical leave of absence.
Responsibilities Include:
Process payroll for approximately 250 employees across multiple states, including Canadian payroll.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls using Paylocity.
Maintain employee payroll records, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required tax forms.
Calculate and process federal, state, and local taxes, including FICA, Medicare, and unemployment taxes.
Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
Proficiency in Paylocity or other payroll software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
