We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with union experience to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for unionized employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with union contracts, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to accurately calculate wages, deductions, and benefits.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as required by various public entities.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee information.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations, particularly those affecting unionized employees.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on unionized environments.
• Experience in Construction, Manufacture, or Agriculture industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of union contracts, wage scales, prevailing wage laws, and the Davis-Bacon Act.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
