HEICO is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL.
The Payroll Specialist is accountable and responsible for all aspects of quality service for Team Members. They obtain information for payroll production and tax related issues; verifies totals, responds to/resolves Team Member's questions and problems. Processes payroll for multi site/multi states.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Process payroll data for check compilation.
* Interacts with management and Team Members for validation on data.
* Processes multi-state and multi-site payrolls in HRIS.
* Processes salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, Team Member deductions as needed.
* Maintains complete confidentiality.
* Maintains Team Member data with the HRIS system.
* Knowledge of applicable and federal/state wage and hour laws such as FLSA, ERISA, DOL.
* Prepares month end reconciliation for Finance.
* Ensuring proper authorized signatures on submissions and/or changes.
* Prepares compliance reports.
* Maintains time systems.
EDUCATION:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
* Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or previous accounting experience.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or payroll.
* Multi-state experience with tax & final paycheck duties.
* Experience collaborating with company benefits & payroll team.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:
* Language: English - Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
* Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite Word, PowerPoint, Intermediate level for MS Excel.
* Mathematical Skills: Strong 10-Key data entry skills required.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
* Detail Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Problem Solving: Ability to analyze, resolve problems and find solutions.
* Technical Skills: Experience with ADP Software or HRIS Systems preferred.
* Customer Service: Strong customer service skills; must have strong work ethic and ability to work extended hours, as business needs dictate and to meet customer's needs.
