Job Description:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be a key player in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role involves overseeing all aspects of payroll administration and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of payroll best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and timely process payroll for all employees, including handling salary, benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholding, direct deposit information, and personal details.
- Address employee inquiries about payroll matters, resolving any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate data transfer and reporting.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries to management as needed.
- Stay informed on payroll industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.
- Experience with Union Payroll Ideal
