Responsibilities:Summary
Responsible for processing payroll on a weekly basis. Provides payroll support and coordination to all Synchrony locations including training on timekeeping and payroll related software programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes payroll on a weekly basis including:
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
- Processes payroll allocations between departments.
- Answers payroll inquiries and performs required research timely.
- Processes voided payroll checks and stop payment orders.
- Provides supporting documentation requested by management or auditors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Consults with personnel on payroll-related issues.
- Provides payroll-related training to personnel as needed.
- Periodic travel including overnight stay as necessary.
- Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent. College Graduate or some college classes preferred.
Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ payroll experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
