Our client, a tech company, is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist in Roselle, Park, NJ
This company is continuing to grow and add to the team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr+ Depending on experience
Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to for oversee and manage the payroll process for the organization
This role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining payroll records
The Payroll Specialist will collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations and address any payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Work closely with HR and union representatives to ensure accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status for union employees.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, union reports, and other compliance-related documentation.
Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:
4+ years of experience in payroll processing, with specific experience in union payroll processing.
Analytical and very detail-oriented.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
