We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage full-cycle payroll processing with one our clients, a well established company in San Antonio, Texas. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the complete payroll process, including data collection, verification, and timely disbursement of wages. You'll handle payroll adjustments, administer benefits and deductions, and ensure payroll taxes are remitted correctly. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will be essential to support efficient, accurate payroll processing.
salary: $19.5 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
+ Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data collection, verification, and entry of hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Process payroll adjustments for new hires, terminations, and wage changes accurately.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
+ Administer payroll deductions for benefits, garnishments, and withholdings, maintaining accurate records.
+ Coordinate payroll changes with HR and accounting.
+ Calculate and remit payroll taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings (e.g., Forms 941 and 940) and support year-end activities, including W-2 distribution.
+ Reconcile payroll with the general ledger, ensuring alignment with financial records.
+ Prepare payroll reports, including labor costs and overtime, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
