Salary Range: $58,240 - $79,040 DOE

Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:

• Process weekly payroll accurately, covering hours, wages, taxes, garnishments, paid leave, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data, ensuring compliance with certified payroll standards.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, generate reports, and assist with benefits administration.
• Handle payroll inquiries, ensure compliance with multi-state and provincial regulations, and support payroll audits and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with HR to keep records accurate.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED required; AA or AS in a related field is a plus.
• 2-5 years in payroll processing, including certified payroll.
• Proficient in Excel and payroll software (Paycom, ADP, or Paylocity preferred);and string knowledge of multi-state and Canada payroll laws.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information with excellent communication skills.
