Classification: Full time; Exempt

Shift: Monday – Friday, core hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. 

Location: On-Site

Job Summary:

This position will be primarily responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. In addition, you will collect, verify and record employee attendance, including hours worked.  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws in the 42 states we are licensed in.  Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records.  

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Process payroll and review payroll reports for accuracy
• Review timecards for accuracy
• Ensure accurate payroll tax filings federally in multiple states
• Ensure the accuracy of all deductions for employees
• Process and monitor garnishment orders
• Assist employees and managers with questions regarding the payroll system
• Prepare payroll journal entries
• Provide ad hoc payroll reporting for analysis

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll manager
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Trustworthy with strong attention to detail
• Must have a high level of trust and integrity

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor of Accounting or Business preferred
5+ years of payroll experience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000 DOE. Silencer Central offers a competitive total compensation package that includes:
