Job Summary
GardaWorld Security Services is looking for a Payroll Specialist to support our payroll department at our headquarters in St. Louis, MO. The Payroll Specialist is an integral part of the GardaWorld Security corporate finance department. Working with our finance team and branch office staff, the successful candidate will assist with all facets of processing payroll. This position requires proactive thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to meet daily challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing including weekly, bi-weekly, and daily adjusting payrolls
Processing Direct Deposits
Maintaining employee payroll files
Assisting with Pay Card Administration
Preparing payroll reports for monthly financial dashboards
Processing Garnishments
Assisting with monthly reconciliations and financial reporting requirements
Other relevant payroll duties, as assigned
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues and questions
The candidate must be a self-starter, with strong critical thinking skills and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands
Exceptional attention to detail, a good problem solver who is organized, flexible, self-directed and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create, maintain and analyze data effectively and efficiently, using spreadsheets and databases. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff at all levels of the organization, including internal and cross-departmental teams, consistently displaying a high level of professionalism, as well as with outside vendors.
Must possess the ability to work with confidential reports and information with complete discretion.
