General Description:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Lead is responsible for the personal and professional development of the Payroll Specialists within their Operating Company. The Payroll Lead's responsibilities include: ensuring accurate payroll using their knowledge of payroll tax, tax laws, benefit, and Wage and Hour laws.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and train Payroll Specialists
- Audit weekly and monthly reports for compliance with payroll policies and procedures
- Produce paychecks accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor and audit the off cycle payroll process
- Resolve discrepancies on employee wages and taxes
- Set and track goals for the Payroll Specialists
- Facilitate the Payroll training class for new Customer Service Associates
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience:
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Experience leading a team of payroll professionals
- Strong customer service and leadership skills
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Computer Skills: PeopleSoft, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
