Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants under our Payroll/HCM practice We have a client who needs support applying for appropriate payroll taxes (State Income, State Unemployment, Locals) in various states.
Responsibilities:
Past experience applying for payroll tax jurisdictions
Preferred Qualification(s):
Duration: This is a project-based consulting opportunity estimated at 80-100 hours, with the possibility of extending. Due to the nature of the work it may last until March 2025
Level of Effort:
Working Hours: Client is on East Coast

Responsibilities:
- Registrations include State Unemployment Insurance (SUI), State Income Tax (SIT, where applicable), State Disability Insurance (SDI, where applicable), local tax jurisdictions (where applicable)
- Research tax registration application requirements for state and local tax jurisdictions for list provided by the client for all "lived-in locations,
- Prepare applications (online, electronic, or paper forms) for the jurisdictions for client's review
- Obtain client approval for each registration application
- Submit online or electronic applications on behalf of client
- Provide client with mailing information for each application that require hard copy submission
- Obtain client sign-off upon project completion
