A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 4 years' experience in payroll processing are preferred, along with proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and minimum of 4 years' experience in payroll processing.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Payroll best practices and knowledge of US payroll tax, as well as proficiency with payroll software and other features that integrate with it.
- Skilled in evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities that integrate with tax processes.
- Skilled in preparing detailed reports and performing detailed computations for tax reporting purposes, and the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Demonstrate customer service focus, client communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to use critical thinking skills when solving problems and explaining to others.
- Clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally.
- Energized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently, ensuring deadlines are met, and excellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is a plus.
