PBHI Crisis Call Sv Specialist at Parkview Health

This will be a day position (7a-7:30pm) and could be anywhere from a 4-12.5 hour shift

Crisis Call Services Overview

• 24/7 Support: Provide round-the-clock assistance for individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer Calls: Respond to crisis calls promptly.
• Risk Assessment: Assess suicide risk and immediate care needs using the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS).
• Coordinate Care: Direct callers to the appropriate level of care.
• Schedule Appointments: Arrange urgent and routine appointments.
• Connect to Services: Link callers to community resources and services.
• Track Details: Maintain logs of call details, including demographics and outcomes.
• Crisis Coordination: Work with crisis response teams for effective care.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of two years in healthcare, mental health, substance use, or human services.
  • Experience in psychiatric hospitals or crisis response preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Epic preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance.
• Availability:
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
