Job Description:
The demand for fresh food is increasing the need for better shipping and storing capabilities across the entire cold supply chain. Food spoilage is a major problem with ~1/3 of it being thrown away. Food safety is a problem as well with 1 in 6 Americans contracting foodborne illness each year. We do see a future where all food shipped from farm to fork, arrives safely and sustainably. Now we do not produce, move, store, or sell food directly. We serve the businesses that do all those things. Serving businesses and optimizing our customer’s performance across their Cold Chain is the role we play. Our team’s mission each day is to 1) efficiently keep food fresh and safe, 2) track each step and 3) make it easy for our customers. We believe if we do these three things, and do them well, we will help bring about the future we want to see.
The Associate Engineer Hardware is performed under supervision of the Engineering Lead using established procedures where individual performs routine duties involving calculations and simple tests. The Associate Engineer Hardware may design parts of minor phases of a project; translate technical guidance received from supervisor into usable data application to the engineering assignments; and check drawings for technical accuracy.
The Associate Engineer Hardware will have the responsibilities of working as part of a team to ensure a high-quality product is produced.

As an Associate Engineer Hardware, you will:
- Design embedded hardware and software to meet product specification requirements under supervision of experienced engineering personnel.
- Ability to read and comprehend electronic component data sheets.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics for existing microcontroller-based designs.
- Work with development team to provide continuing engineering support during all phases of a design through the life of the product.
- Assist production with choosing alternate components for supply chain
- Provide general support to contract board manufacturer, production, and product management
- Work on engineering projects as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of CAD systems.
- Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Applied computer skills
- Good working knowledge of design concepts for RS485 networks, Ethernet, Microcontrollers, USB, and 24VAC power supplies

- IC-PCB LAYOUT EXPERIENCE USING CADENCE
