Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced PCBA Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the PCBA Director, the PCBA Technician will install and rework SMT and T/H components.
This role will work on our 2nd shift from 2:30 to 11 PM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Hand Soldering SMT and T/H components using both a soldering iron and a hot air soldering
- Prepping Components
- Loading and Operating SMT and T/H equipment
- Perform rework on SMT and T/H components
- Perform general housekeeping tasks and following all procedures and processes to Terran Orbital standards
Requirements
Qualification and Skills
- 5+ years of experience with PCBA assembly in a high-mix mid-volume environment (8+ years preferred)
- Working experience with operating SMT assembly equipment
- Familiarity with 6S housekeeping practices
- Current IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications
- Experience with engineering documents (drawings and BOMs)
- Capable of interacting with PC-based operating systems (Microsoft Suite, MES, ERP, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to work in a cross-functional capacity and be trained to perform all manufacturing-related processes.
- Energy and passion for inventing and creating new solutions, challenging the status quo, and driving positive change

Salary Range $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.
Work Environment
The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
