About The Position
ID: 51893737 Shift: Days 13 Weeks; 48 hr/week; Days 4x12 Hr Description: Pre/Post Area Responsibilities: Assesses/reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process to: Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures/equipment, i.e. Cardiac Monitoring Care of and/or recovery of patient pre/post interventional cardiac procedures Care of patients wit vascular closure devices: application, maintenance, and removal Maintain/Pull Arterial and/or Venous Sheaths ACT machine Angioseal/Vasoseal Minimal Sedation Use of moderate sedation with use of safety and prevention guidelines involved in delivery of moderate sedation. Assist with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) with use of safety and guidelines involved in delivery of the procedure. Perform Bubble method as required when assisting with TEE Pain management and follow-up pain reassessment Blood draws and use of appropriate order-of-the-draw for labs IV therapy IV ADD Infusion of blood and blood products Information management Synchronized Cardioversion ICD s Pacemakers (Temporary and Permanent) Pre/Post Care and Recovery Schedule Notes:13 Weeks; 48 hr/week; DaysSkills: Procedural Area Responsibilities: Assesses/reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process to: Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures/equipment, i.e. Care of and/or recovery of patient pre/post interventional cardiac procedures Care of and/or recovery of patient pre/post electrophysiology procedures Care of and/or recovery of patient pre/post interventional radiology procedures Care of patients with vascular closure devices: application, maintenance, removal and post care.
