About The Position
--- **Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 19:00-07:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years **License:** Active RN license **Certifications:** BLS certification **Must-Have:** - Med/Surg Experience - Ability to prioritize care, multitask - Start IVs, basic wound care - Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, & chest tubes **Job Description:** - Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members. - Conduct bedside shift report and establish personal connections with patients. - Engage patients and family members in their plan of care. - Operate equipment such as IV Pumps, Telemetry, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, and EKG machines. - Utilize Meditech for documentation and iMobile communication technology. - Work a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, including 2 weekends within a 4-week period. - Float as per the rotation policy when multiple contract staff are scheduled. - Adhere to the required dress code of navy scrubs for both tops and bottoms. - Work in a supportive environment with tech support available during day and night shifts, and unit secretaries available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. **Additional Information:** - The unit is equipped with comprehensive stroke care and is a certified chest pain center. - Prospective candidates can expect an experienced and tenured staff environment, modern equipment, and technology.
