About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Step Down **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Nights, 19:00-07:30 **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of Step Down inpatient experience **License:** Current RN License eligible for Missouri **Certifications:** BLS and ACLS from AHA only **Must-Have:** - 1 year of Step Down experience in an inpatient setting - Experience with Trach/Vent as this is a respiratory-heavy unit **Job Description:** - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, ensuring professional accountability. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Perform direct patient care activities across all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments for optimal care and comfort. - Function according to the nursing practice guidelines and regulations. - Adjust to meet unit-specific physical demands, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients as needed. - High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. - Work differing schedules or shifts as required by patient care needs. - Engage with patients experiencing respiratory failure, overdose, GI bleed, and other medical conditions. - Exhibit traits like teamwork, dependability, and flexibility. - Adhere to the dress code: black scrubs.
