Peace Hospital, part of UofL Health, is a private, non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation, Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children, adolescents, adults and senior adults, age 55 and older. Our Kosair for Kids Children’s Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country treating children and adolescents with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders. We have a partial hospitalization program for school-aged children and an inpatient specialty program for children and adolescents who have complex treatment needs, such as intellectual or developmental disabilities accompanied by acute behavioral and psychiatric symptoms. Job Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and implementing structured therapeutic program activities for individuals and groups of patients.
The area of focus
- Adolescents
- Acute mental health unit caring for patients with severe mental illness including mood disorders and psychoses
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology, or other closely related health degree
- In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5 years clinical experience specifically in mental health
- Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training and successful completion during new hire orientation.
- BLS required from American Heart Association
