Job Summary:
Cuready is looking for an experienced Pediatric Echo Sonographer for a full-time position at one of our affiliated facilities in Norfolk, Virginia.
Contract term:
- Term: Full time/permanent
- Shift: Days, 40-hours/week
- Start date: ASAP
- Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer will need to be proficient in locating, evaluating, and recording pertinent anatomical congenital heart pathology, while effectively communicating any findings with the attending physician.
- Performs all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for the noninvasive laboratory of Cardiology Services, including two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiography.
- Required Education: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or have practiced as a sonographer for greater than 2 years.
- Preferred Experience: 5 years practicing as a sonographer
- Strong understanding of congenital heart pathologies and both pre/post-surgical procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification with AHA.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required or registry eligible and obtainment of registration within 12 months of employment.
- RDCS (PE) certification by the ARDMS is highly preferred.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry eligible and obtainment of registration within 90 days of hire.
