| Job Description: | The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida, College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, is recruiting a pediatric endocrinologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (non-tenure track). Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Responsibilities include patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings and teaching pediatric endocrinology fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a talented team with 9 endocrine faculty, APRNs, nurses, dieticians, diabetes educators, and a team of medical and administrative assistants who assist us in the care of our patients. Our team was recognized as one of the nation’s top 10 pediatric diabetes and endocrinology specialty programs according to the 2023-24 U.S. News & World Report Rankings. The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, compassionate, state-of-the-art care for children and families affected by diabetes and other endocrine disorders. We serve more than 1000+ children and young adults with diabetes, have an active diabetes technology program, and are internationally known for our type 1 diabetes research. We are also home to the nation’s largest program for Prader-Willi syndrome and have a multidisciplinary obesity/metabolic program, gender health clinic, bisphosphonate infusion program, and general endocrinology clinics. Our faculty pride themselves on being able to teach and train the next generation of pediatric endocrinologists. We have a three-year Pediatric Endocrine fellowship program that provides comprehensive education, research, quality improvement, and advocacy opportunities for future leaders in pediatric endocrinology. We have multiple opportunities to teach and train medical students and residents. Nationally ranked in five pediatric specialties, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital provides the full spectrum of pediatric specialty services and is in the Top 5children’s hospital in the Southeast US. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital provides care for the children of Florida and is a major destination center for pediatric patients, both nationally and internationally, who require specialized attention for complex medical problems. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital represents the only quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida. The children’s hospital has 208 beds, including fully-equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is part of the Children's Miracle Network's alliance of premier hospitals for children. The Department of Pediatrics is committed to fostering innovation and advancing discovery in the biomedical and psychosocial aspects of child health and human development, educating and training pediatric scientists, and directly translating basic scientific discoveries into new patient-oriented therapies. In the most recent fiscal year, the department was home to over $30.5M in sponsored research. UF Health faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges, as well as those from across the University. The focus of team efforts is often grown out of the Centers and Institutes, including the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute, the UF Genetics Institute, the Powell Gene Therapy Center, and the UF Health Cancer Center. |

| Minimum Requirements: | Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics, and be board certified/ board eligible in Pediatrics or the appropriate subspecialty. |
