PEDIATRIC HEART FAILURE / HEART TRANSPLANT CARDIOLOGIST
- Advanced training in pediatric heart failure and heart transplant required
- Well-established team caring for complex pediatric heart failure and transplant patients in inpatient and outpatient facilities
- Dedicated team of two heart failure and heart transplant cardiologists, two dedicated nurse practitioners, two transplant coordinators, a
psychologist and a licensed clinical social worker - Norton Childrens Heart Institute offers full-service congenital heart disease care, including complex neonatal surgery; pediatric ventricular
assist device; and heart transplant, catheterization and electrophysiology procedures - Growing practice of 23 cardiologists, 13 advanced practice providers and other specially trained cardiac staff
- Busy clinical practice performing more than:
- 350 heart surgeries
- Six heart transplants in 2022
- 397 cardiac catheterizations
- Institute participates in numerous national registries and collaboratives, including the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society and Advanced Cardiac
Therapies Improving Outcomes Network (ACTION) - Academic position as an assistant or associate professor of pediatrics at the UofL School of Medicine
- Research opportunities and support available through Norton Childrens Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine
REQUIREMENTS
- Medical Degree/Diploma
- Residency/fellowship certification
- Kentucky medical license or license eligible
