Little Land Pediatric Therapy is seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide specialized physical therapy services to children with various needs, focusing on enhancing their mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical development. This role requires creating and implementing individualized treatment plans and collaborating with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to promote the best outcomes for our young clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to identify each child's unique needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and needs related to physical development.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and overall functional performance.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and exercises to support the child’s development outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
- Provide training and mentorship to physical therapy assistants, interns, and volunteers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in Pediatrics is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric conditions affecting physical performance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach frequently during therapy sessions.
- Ability to sit on the floor and actively engage with children during play-based therapy.
