Summary:

Weare hiring a pediatric research interventionist with expertise in early infancyto work about 5-10 hours per week. The interventionist needs to be a licensedphysical therapist who will provide intervention for infants and toddlersparticipating in a research study. The successful candidate must be willing tobe trained on a specific intervention and deliver the intervention withfidelity. Flexibility in the schedule is requested to accommodate the needs offamilies participating.
Responsibilitieswill include learning a specific intervention, utilizing that intervention withfamilies randomized to this arm of the study, inputting data on each visit, andsharing feedback with the research team. Primary work will be with families ofinfants and toddlers, Dr. Spence, Dr. Dusing, a research assistant, and thestudy trainer. Visits will be conducted in the home environment or the MotorDevelopment Lab if the family prefers. Travel to family homes, withinapproximately 60 miles of Richmond, is required.
Required Qualifications
1)License as a PT in VA
2)Must have 3+ years experience working with infants and toddlers with cerebralpalsy and/or motor delays
3)Must be able to drive and have a car to do home visit
4)Flexible schedule
5)Ability to work in a diverse environment required
Preferred Qualifications
1)Independent worker and problem solver, to seek out assistance when needed, anddetail oriented
2)Research experience is preferred but not required
