Pediatric Surgery Advanced Practice Provider - St. Joseph's Children's Hospital - Tampa, Florida - BayCare Medical Group

BayCare Medical Group is a physician-led medical group seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our group of 5 Pediatric Surgeons, and 5 Advanced Practice Providers located at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Surgical Services extends the services of physicians by providing patient care before and after surgery. They may also assist physicians in surgical procedures. Services that this position may provide include physical exams, closing incisions, interpreting diagnostic tests and counseling patients about treatment. Specialized procedures include, but are not limited to; I&D's, minor skin lesions, drug implant and removal.  This position will also provide coordination and clinical services across the continuum of care for surgical patients. This position operates under physician directed protocols for all APP duties. Weekend call/rounding responsibilities every 5th weekend.

The successful candidate will be a self-directed, self-start; team player able to support surgeons in the OR, and with inatient and outpatient service.  

Position requires: Florida licensure and certification PA-C or APRN.  APP must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
