About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pelco System Administrator to oversee, manage, and ensure the optimal and secure operation of our Pelco video security systems. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Pelco surveillance products, with a strong focus on maintaining system uptime, troubleshooting issues, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure the security needs of the organization are met.
Compensation: $65,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Pelco surveillance systems and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real-time to ensure minimal disruption to surveillance operations.
- Coordinate with the IT department to ensure network stability and security for all surveillance systems.
- Collaborate with security teams to fine-tune surveillance feeds and camera angles for optimal coverage.
- Conduct regular system backups, updates, and patches as required.
- Monitor system performance and generate regular reports on system health, activity logs, and incident reports.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Pelco's product line and recommend system upgrades when necessary.
- Provide end-user training and support, ensuring all stakeholders can effectively use the surveillance tools at their disposal.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and Pelco support when necessary to resolve issues or implement new solutions.
- Ensure all surveillance activities comply with local regulations and privacy standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with Pelco surveillance systems and products.
- Strong knowledge of IP networks, cameras, video management systems, and related surveillance technologies.
- Problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices as they relate to surveillance systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in surveillance or network systems are a plus.
