Title: People & Culture Coordinator
Reports to: Director of People & Culture
Position Overview:
the HR Coordinator will serve as an HR representative to all staff, facilitate key HR communications, & execute ongoing HR activities, including employee relations, new hire orientation, benefits administration, & employee engagement initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of People & Culture to ensure organizational alignment on strategic & visionary action items to be a champion at the staff level
- Analyze data & recommend changes (i.e., complaints, surveys, exit interviews, etc.)
- Assist in employee relations concerns, and help counsel employees & supervisors
- Participate in internal investigations, & prepare & maintain related documentation
- Assist in recruiting efforts: Phone screen & facilitate recruitment of qualified applicants
- Collaborate with managers to understand skills & competencies required for openings
- Implement, & facilitate training programs on a variety of HR-related topics
- Prepare & maintain employee files in accordance with best practices
- Research, & resolve questions from staff regarding policies, procedures, & programs
- Learn and be familiarized with all Resource Center policies and procedures
- Keeps information confidential & assess when to elevate decisions to HR Director
- Represent HR with resource groups collaborate meeting execution with HR Director
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the execution of responsibilities
- Provide payroll reports or payroll-related data to accounting & HR Director as needed
- May run timekeeping reports as needed & potentially process & administer payroll
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- One-Three years of relevant work experience within an HR department
- Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS required; proficiency with ExponentHR preferred
- Ability to speak honestly, clearly, & tactfully with internal & external audiences
- Professional demeanor, a sense of confidence, & a balanced approach & contributes towards best practice strategies to elevate the Center’s culture
- Effectively communicates ideas, both orally & in writing. Listens actively to others
- Demonstrates & applies knowledge of compliance, HR best practices, quality requirements, regulatory paperwork management, safety procedures, etc.
- Able to solve practical problems, interpret direction & provide information in written, oral, diagram, schedule, or any other form as best for the specific audience
- Manages time well & maintains a good record concerning all employee matters, including employee recognition, employee relations, disciplinary process, etc.
- Experience with cultural sensitivity to the LGBTQIA community, including professional competency in use of gender-affirming language & related cultural nuance.
