About the team:
You’ll be joining a team of three, deeply integrated with all service areas of Sage Eldercare Solutions. Our team is heart-driven and passionate about both the quality of life we provide to employees and the excellence in the work we do. As the face of employee relations, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that position Sage as an employer of choice. You will champion programs to ensure employee feedback is heard, leading the charge in creating an exceptional employee experience. While the Director is your thought partner, you will be at the helm of shaping and elevating the employee journey, striving for excellence in every aspect of our people operations.
What you’ll do:
- Employee Experience and Engagement:
- Own the onboarding process for new hires and ensure a seamless process
- Implement and manage wellness programs and life-work balance initiatives
- Owns benefits optimization: medical benefits administration and open enrollment processes, 401k, EAP
- Coordinate employee recognition programs, including anniversaries, birthdays, attitudes of gratitude, and performance-based awards
- Actively listens and gathers feedback (including employee survey) to prioritize the highest issues and opportunities as identified by team members
- HR Operations and Compliance:
- Document key policies and processes; maintain Employee Handbook; cross train to ensure coverage; recommend and implement process improvements in HR operations
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Coordinate required employee training (e.g., safety, harassment prevention)
- Manage Workers Compensation: best care for EE; active management reduces claim amounts
- Communication and Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and supervisor concerns; seek to coach team members on crucial conversations where appropriate
- Facilitate internal communications related to HR initiatives and company updates;
- Support managers in employee-related matters and performance management processes
- Culture, Values, and Community:
- Plan and execute team building activities and Sage events
- Help organize and support employee resource groups (ERGs) and Coordinate DEI programs
- Promote company values and cultural initiatives in day-to-day operations
- Build and maintain an annual calendar of HR activities/ALL Sage events in Asana
- Learning and Development:
- Train managers to conduct professional development discussions; identify training program opportunities
- Assist in developing and implementing performance evaluation and management processes
- Support the internal coaching and mentorship program
- Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop a prioritized program plan to sequence and track initiatives
- Maintain the People Ops analytics dashboard to measure and visualize the impact of employee experience initiatives
- Gather and analyze employee feedback through surveys and other channels like Glassdoor and Indeed
- Stay informed about HR trends and best practices, suggesting innovations when appropriate
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study. Experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- 4 years experience in People Operations
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential.
- Experience in project management.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Google Drive, Asana, and/or similar software.

Compensation: The anticipated base compensation for this position is between $80,000 - 120,000 annually. Offered compensation will be determined based on education and experience.
