People Ops Generalist (CO - CA - NV)

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) was founded in 2022 by a team of career telecom and construction professionals and is in need of a People Operations Generalist to help us flourish. GRC looks to leverage the latest technologies and utilize the best-in-industry equipment, construction, and safety practices to build a first-class nationwide fiber optic utility construction firm.  This position will report to the Chief of Staff. The successful candidate must be adept in data management, logistics, and operations, be excited about opportunities to learn and grow in their career and be able to execute various projects at a time.   This position represents an opportunity to join an excellent team on the ground floor, learn a lot, and have a ton of fun as GRC grows!

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

• Generating official internal documents such as offer letters 
• Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
• Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
• Benefit Administration 
• State Tax Administration 
• Workers Comp 
• Data entry and database management
• 10-20% Travel Required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong technical/business knowledge
• Strong data management and time management skills
• 3 - 5 years' experience as an HR Generalist

• Human Resource experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership and coaching skills
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
• Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Process and documentation orientation, with a focus on continuous improvement 
• Experience with Rippling, Google Suite (Sheets, etc.), Zoho
• Understanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plus
• Prevailing Wage experience 
• Demonstrated success at Remote Work

$55,000 ‒ $65,000 Annually
