Job Summary:

George Washington University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Radiology / CAT Scan team. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of radiology services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after radiology and CAT scan procedures.
• Administer medications and contrast agents as necessary.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedure and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standard

• Current RN license in the state of Washington, D.C.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in radiology, critical care, or emergency nursing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
• Strong IV skills and experience with administering contrast agents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in radiology or CAT scan nursing.
• Advanced certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN) or equivalent.
