Performance Tester/Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6 Months - 1 Year
Visa: GC or USC only
Technical Skills & Tools:
· 2+ years in VU Gen/Performance Center/LoadRunner
· Performance Engineering a plus
· Scripting Protocols – http/s, web services, True Client
· Monitoring Tools – preferably Appdynamics & Dynatrace
· Java/JEE, Linux (RHEL), Websphere, AppHost & Virtualization
· Solid understanding of 3 tier architecture (web, app servers, DBs)
· Experience with large scale infrastructure and basic understanding of performance modeling based on production volumes and usage patterns
· Nice to Have: IBM PMAT, CA iTKO or other Service Virtualization software, IBM MQ, Oracle, DB2, CASSANDRA
Analytical Based & Soft Skills:
· Quick on their feet. Somebody who can identify a problem and clearly Client out next steps to find the root cause, based on symptoms.
· Willing to assist where needed with all tasks (not cherry pick certain tasks like execution or scripting)
· Concisely report statuses
· Proactive – do not wait to be told what to do
· Always thinking of ways to improve process
· Understands the big picture and knows next steps, what needs to be done, what to do in case we run into an unforeseen event
