Nurse to patient ratios 1:1 for all shifts. No Ancillary Staff. Patients range in age from Infants to Geriatrics. Staff works in 8 hour shifts. Unit patient population: general surgery; ENT; Ortho; Podiatry; Vascular; Thoracic; GYN; Opthamology; GI; Cardiac (no valves or open heart). Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, Circulate. Patient Care Delivery System: Team. Special Unit Procedures: Inpatient procedure suites for endoscopy; ERCP; bronch’s; pacemakers; TEE’s; cardioversions. Meds and drips administered: None. Documentation System: Combination. Supplemental Staff required to float when necessary. Scrubs can be any color, RN provides their own scrubs.
