Responsibilities:
- Assist in Evaluations: Collaborate with the Physical Therapist (PT) to conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Under the supervision of a licensed PT, implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver various interventions, such as exercises, gait training, and modalities, to promote functional improvement, pain reduction, and enhanced mobility. Leverage the unique hydro-therapy pool to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate: Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Document: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- Valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
- Experience:
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a post-hospital rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and staff.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with a weekend day rotation twice per month.
