Summary:
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading 151-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in York, PA, to find a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This is a full-time (35 hours/week), permanent opportunity for a PTA to make a positive impact on the lives of residents, helping them regain mobility, strength, and independence through personalized therapy programs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in Evaluations: Collaborate with the Physical Therapist (PT) to conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical abilities, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Under the supervision of a licensed PT, implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver various interventions, such as exercises, gait training, and modalities, to promote functional improvement, pain reduction, and enhanced mobility.
- Collaborate: Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Document: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and treatment interventions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
- Licensure:
- Valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
- Experience:
- Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 35 hours per week.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend rotation.
