Requirements
Permit Specialist: This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a Permit Specialist to oversee the entire permitting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required applications to support our construction projects. You’ll work closely with engineering, sales, and project teams to compile documentation, maintain compliance, and keep everyone informed on permit statuses. Your strong communication skills will be essential for collaborating with government agencies and ensuring smooth project execution. Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:
- Complete permit applications including all necessary forms, reviewing drawings for completeness, obtaining vicinity maps, reviewing submittals, uploading drawings online, and updating the permit tracking tools.
- Schedule permit intake appointments and manage a 3rd Party permit runner.
- Track and maintain permit costs for proper job costing.
- Maintain good working relationships with all local jurisdictions and stay current on standards and processes for each city jurisdiction.
The Permit Specialist role reports to Ammone Bembry - Permitting & Engineering Support Manager on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

You should have…
- A track record of understanding and completing complex permitting processes; Building code knowledge is a plus!
- Expertise using Microsoft Office and BlueBeam, and comprehension of trade drawings and documents
- At least 3 years in administrative support with a focus in permitting or documentation management

Benefits
Compensation: $28-$33 hourly
