Summary:
The Permitting Intake Coordinator will manage the intake permits take calls, answer questions, and assist with inputting permits into the Town's systems to support Hurricane Helene and Milton's rapid rebuilding process. They will ensure that contractors and homeowners submit complete applications, streamlining approvals for post-disaster recovery.
Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Responsibilities:
- Intake permits take calls, answer questions, and assist with inputting permits into the Town's systems Receive and review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist contractors and homeowners with the permitting process.
- Coordinate with plan examiners and building inspectors to expedite approvals.
- Maintain organized records of applications and permits issued.
- Provide status updates to applicants and local officials.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in permitting Residential/Commercial construction or equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of Florida building codes and permitting requirements. Strong organizational and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
