Personal Care Assistants at the VNH are integral members of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to patients, allowing them to receive the medical care required in the comfort of their own home.

The Personal Care Assistant will:

• Provide compassionate non-medical hands-on care for clients who require assistance with personal care, light homemaking tasks, medication reminders, and complete errands so that clients can remain safely in their respective homes
• Prepare meals; grocery shop, perform general cooking, and utilize safe food handling standards.
• Clean living areas including kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and sitting areas; including the possible use of vacuum cleaners, brooms, general household cleaners, and general household trash removal.
