Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake to resolution, including trial when necessary.
2. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
3. Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
4. Represent clients at court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing outstanding customer service and keeping them informed about the progress of their cases.
6. Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
7. Participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case files.
9. Stay current on legal trends and developments in the field of personal injury law.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury attorney.
4. Proven trial experience, with a strong record of positive outcomes for clients.
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable settlements for clients.
6. Strong legal research and writing skills.
7. Experience with case management software.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
9. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage a large caseload without sacrificing quality.
10. Experience with depositions, mediation, and arbitration.
11. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve cases effectively and efficiently.
12. A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
