About the Job
We are seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal with a strong litigation background to join a legal team with our client firm. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing cases from intake to trial, including pre-litigation preparation, discovery, and trial support. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and legal research skills to ensure efficient case progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of personal injury cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for case strategy.
- Coordinate the discovery process, including preparing and serving interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel to gather necessary case information.
- Prepare and maintain case files, timelines, and other related documents.
- Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and trial as needed.
- Monitor case deadlines, including statute of limitations and discovery cutoffs, ensuring timely filing of documents.
- Assist in settlement negotiations and prepare settlement documents.
- Manage case updates and maintain client communication.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal Certification
- 3+ years of personal injury paralegal experience, with a litigation as well.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, litigation procedures, and trial prep.
- Proficient in legal research, drafting legal documents, and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
