Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury cases and oversee all aspects of litigation, from inception through resolution.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to gather relevant information for cases.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
4. Represent clients in court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments in a clear, compelling manner.
5. Take and defend depositions, interrogating witnesses, and gathering statements to support case development.
6. Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure all case files, documents, and evidence are organized and readily accessible.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law, court procedures, and legal precedents that may impact your cases.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on case progress, and explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
9. Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure a high level of client service and satisfaction.
10. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve optimal results for clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to and in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Trial Attorney.
4. Sat first chair at a minimum of 2 trials.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft complex legal documents and present compelling arguments.
6. Experience taking and defending depositions.
7. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
