Personal Trainer Advanced Certification - Foothills Park & Recreation District

Position: Personal Trainer  Part-Time

Rate: $27.50-$29.60/hour based on experience

We are seeking a highly motivated Personal Trainer with Advanced Certification, training or experience working with special populations, specifically recruiting for Chronic Conditions small group classes and individual trainings. The position is responsible for using exercise protocols specific to the early stages of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, dementia, cancer at any stage and other chronic conditions with a focus on neuroplasticity, balance, cardio, strength and flexibility training.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or directly related field and two (2) years experience in Health/Fitness Education, Health Promotion or Wellness related field; or any equivalent combination of acceptable education and years of experience.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Current specialty certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) as required.
• Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required.
