Description:RiverTech is looking for a Personnel Security Specialist III to provide entrance on duty (EOD) support to make pre-appointment and interim clearance recommendations in accordance with the relevant Executive Orders (EOs), U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), all the Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 and the policies, orders and guidelines with the understanding that final EOD recommendations are made by appropriate Federal employees. Responsibilities:- Expert knowledge or awareness and adherence to government policies or regulations governing security suitability and eligibility, such as Federal Investigative Standards (FIS), Executive Orders (E.O.) 12968, 13526, and 10450, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 or other guidelines to make the appropriate EOD recommendation
- Conducts security checks and reviews personnel security information using various databases to verify if an individual has the appropriate background investigation requested, and if the individual is eligible for reciprocity
- Assists with implementing operational policies, procedures, programs, and standards as required, ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of trusted workforce to include the Continuous Evaluation Program, continuous vetting, and RAPBACK
- Initiates background investigations via the electronic questionnaires for investigations processing (eAPPapp) system and obtain a security questionnaire from applicants
- Ensures the completeness of the security questionnaires and send the completed questionnaire to Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), or the designated investigative service provider (ISP)
- Provides technical assistance to applicants completing their security questionnaire in the eAPP system
- Contributes to initiatives to improve functional and/or automated processes within the division
- Prepares written documentation in support of the personnel security mission such as internal standard operating procedures, reports, training and instructional materials, and briefings
- High School Diploma
- Must have 4 years in personnel security experience
- Proven experience rendering adjudicative or entrance on duty (EOD) recommendations
- Must have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, etc., excellent written and oral communication, risk-management and problem-solving skills
- An Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required for consideration

- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds
